Get onboard for National Safe Work Month!

31 July 2017

Australia’s official National Safe Work Month is being held in October. If your company would like to get onboard, activities start August so now’s the time to start planning.

The event aims to build awareness of work health and safety, encourage discussion about safety at work and share positive workplace stories from across Australia.

Safety Australia Group will be running private Mock Trials beginning in August in Workplace Health & Safety, Workplace Bullying, Food Safety and Environmental Compliance. Places are limited so get in quick!

The Safety Australia Group will be hosting a simulated Workplace Health & Safety court case with renowned former State Prosecutor Bruce Whitehead.

A WHS mock trial offers a ‘real life’ element to your training that engages participants to challenge their thinking through:

• Identifying potential risks including gaps in systems and processes;
• Reflecting on cultural vulnerabilities;
• Highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement; and
• Showcasing how laws are practically interpreted and the effect this can have
on your organisation.

Through this interactive court case, you have the opportunity to be involved and become one of three people playing the role of witnesses who will be cross-examined, look through the eyes of the judge or be part of the jury where you will form a verdict for the trial.
