Clean drinking water using solar power

In an Australian-first trial, Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) are to create a drinking water system that will produce clean drinking water drawn directly from the air using solar power, which draws water vapours from the air, concentrates it into the panels and dispenses it to a tap.

ARENA will provide $420,000 in funding to US-based Zero Mass Water to deploy 150 of its solar-powered SOURCE drinking water systems across multiple locations in Australia.
