The recent Large-Scale Solar Forum 2019 in Brisbane attracted nearly 500 specialists for a day of knowledge sharing, networking, and industry discussions.

Among the attendees, for the first time, was sign and labelling experts Identimark, who have worked with solar farms throughout Australasia.

Project Manager, Charlie Beatson says the Identimark team learned a lot from a gathering which was focussed on change, challenges and social licence. He says while the large-scale solar farm industry is still looking for a clear direction from the government it’s grown rapidly from just 12 large-scale projects in 2016 to 65 projects in 2018.

The Identimark stand was kept busy, with a Queensland politician dropping by for a photo opportunity and more than 90 people leaving their business cards, to enter the draw to win one of ten Solar Bluetooth Speakers.

Charlie says Identimark was struck by the wide range of attendees. “It was good to see the whole spectrum of people who are involved in the solar industry.”

Identimark’s stand theme; “See you in 2049” created a talking point. Charlie explains it was used to highlight Identimark’s products’ guaranteed long life and zero maintenance combined with full compliance. “Once installed, they won’t need to see us for around 30 years.”

It was also an opportunity to launch the new website. It’s a more direct way for EPCs, developers and electrical contractors to get the information they need on labelling and signs.
